Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (born November 25 in 1968) is a Canadian actor and a singer from Canada. Her most well-known work is her roles in the American television show Law & Order, on which she played the prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three seasons as well as Crossing Jordan, on which she was the main character, Jordan Cavanaugh, for six seasons. She has also appeared on films such as RoboCop 3 (most wanted) and Crossing Jordan (which she directed and wrote). Hennessy was born and was raised in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy was her father. He was a meat seller and a sales/marketing executive. The job involved a lot of travel and led to frequent family moves. Maxine her secretary mother, left the family in 1982. Eleanor, Eleanor's paternal grandmother, cared for her daughter, who lived in Kitchener. She has a younger brother, John Paul "J.P." Hennessy, Jr., and an identical twin sister, Jacqueline She is a magazine writer and TV host in Canada. Hennessy has Irish as well as French, Swedish, Italian and Swedish heritage from her father. She also has mostly Ukrainian Roma and Austrian heritage from her mother. She attended Stanley Park Senior Public School. Grand River Collegiate Institute was where she graduated. She was a busker in the subway system of Toronto. Hennessy and her sister were among the first to appear as twin call girls on 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, who was the actress who ultimately got the role, stated she was a finalist to play Dana Scully in The X-Files. She played the character for three seasons, leaving the show in 1996.
